About Me…. what to say about me?? My name is John, Yochanan in Hebrew, it means Yahweh (God) is gracious. I have a love and a passion for the Hebraic roots, and language of the Christian life. A deep love and desire to know God and His word as fully as I can. A bit more about me…
My main focus in life is to honor God and make His name famous, but my second is my family (My wife Crystal and our 3 boys, Caleb, Ben, and the youngest Asher), whom I serve daily through the job God has provided me, and through the sacrifices I make just so I can spend time with them. I enjoy taking my family camping, where I find enjoyment in exploring the beauty that God has created, be it through the simple beauty I see around us or through gold prospecting. Yes, it is a vice of mine, gold mining. Can’t wait until my boys are old enough to teach them how to run a dredge and pan.
We currently are in the hot state of Arizona. Haven’t always lived in what I call the AZ though. I grew up in a small town in N/E Texas and lived out there until I was about 16 when I moved out to AZ, lived here a bit then back to TX, spent a few years in the Navy then back to TX, another odd amount of years spent here and there before I made it back to the AZ. Been here since and am humbled to be used by God in any and every way He sees fit, all while waiting for the next destination in the journey God has planned for me.
This blog not only covers my time sojourning in the AZ but the A to Z of all this time entails. From the mind numbing victories within my family life, to the soul crushing wounds of leadership in ministry and everything conceivable in between. A blog not only meant as an outlet for myself, but for each of us.
